1956 Jaguar XK 140 Fixed Head Coupe. Jaguar Bronze with biscuit and tan leather upholstery. Newly introduced for 1955, the Jaguar XK140 was broadly similar to, though more refined than, its sensational XK120 predecessor, major engineering changes being confined to the repositioning of the engine 3" further forward and the adoption of rack-and-pinion steering. The suspension and brakes remained much as before, though with stiffer torsion bars at the front and telescopic shock absorbers replacing lever type at the rear. Outwardly the newcomer was distinguishable by its revised radiator grille, rear lights incorporating flashing indicators and larger bumpers, the latter adopted to withstand the cut and thrust of urban parking. This absolutely beautiful 1956 XK140 started life as a 3. 4 SE and was supplied to its first owner who was based in Chicago, Illinois. The car made its way back to the U.K when acquired by XK marque specialist Leaping Cats. The car was completely stripped, fully rebuilt and restored and was significantly upgraded by Leaping Cats. The result is the most beautiful XK 140 we have seen with the attention to detail second to none. During the rebuild many improvements..
1968 Triumph TR5 2500 Pi. Wedgewood Blue with Blue Ambla upholstery and matching Surrey top. When Michelotti's sharp-suited new TR4 was unveiled at the London Motor Show in 1961, the car looked thoroughly modern, especially when compared with the venerable TR3A that it replaced. However, the reality was that under the skin, the car was still very much a TR3A as little more than the outer skin was actually new. Despite this, the TR4 and the TR4A that succeeded it were amongst the fastest affordable sports cars on offer throughout the 1960s. Cheap to buy and run, the cars' road manners however left a little room for improvement, despite the TR4 having gained rack and pinion steering, wider front and rear tracks to make it more sure-footed, and an all-synchro gearbox. However, as stylish transport, they were pretty much unbeatable. All it cried out for, to compete with the new wave of GT saloons was more power. Lots more. The stock 2-litre GT6 engine was tried and, although smooth, was actually no quicker than the old tractor-derived four-pot. The answer was simple though – enlarge the straight-six by a massive 500cc to give a lusty 2.5-litres and help it breathe a little easier. Wi..
1964 MGB Roadster MK I Pull Handle. British Racing Green with Black leather upholstery and white piping. The MGB replaced the outgoing MGA in May 1962. It then remained in production until the Abingdon factory finally closed in 1980. Compared with the "A' the "B' was a more comfortable mode of transport all round with more legroom and generally more creature comforts like wind-up windows. Initially all the cars were roadsters and the suspension was slightly softer than the MGA, but it still handled well. Despite being an inch or two shorter than the "A' the interior space was better designed giving the passengers a bit more space plus there was now room for a more sensible amount of luggage when touring. But it carried on the "wind in the hair' tradition of the great British sports car and while by modern standards it is not particularly rapid, in its day its performance was regarded as "brisk'. The entire MGB range all used a version of the 1798 cc BMC Series B engine, which was a slightly enlarged version of the 1622cc Series A Engine. There are many articles that reference the unique features of an early Mk1 MGB – namely; pull door handles, 3 bearing engine, 3 synchromesh gear..
1985 Mercedes Benz 500 SL Automatic. (R107). Astral Silver with Grey Sports Check upholstery, new black soft top and factory hardtop. The Mercedes R107-series SL was launched in 1971 to replace the long-lived W113 'Pagoda' SL that first appeared in 1963. Though dispensing with Mercedes' usual model identification, it was based on the suspension of the W114 Saloon and ran until 1989 with more than 237, 000 examples built, being the longest single series ever produced by Mercedes-Benz except for the G-Wagen. The Bruno Sacco-designed car was bigger, heavier and softer-riding than its predecessor, but can still handle and won the plaudits from distinguished motoring writers including LJK Setright. The 245bhp 500 SL made from 1980 had an all-alloy fuel-injected V8 and was made for Europe only and with 60mph available in 7. 4 secs the top speed was 140mph, faster even than the US, Japan and Australian 560 SL. Plenty of R107s come to market, but 500SLs are still a rarity, with only 11, 812 built. This fabulous R107 has covered just 59,000 miles from new and has been with its last keeper for the last 7 years, he purchased the cart from his uncle who bought the SL in August 1992 so it has e..
1998 Rolls Royce Silver Seraph. Silver Pearl Metallic with Fireglow Red Connolly hide upholstery. Whenever a new Rolls-Royce appears, it is the manner in which tradition is balanced against innovation that most intrigues the public, and the Silver Seraph's introduction in 1998 was no exception. There was certainly no lack of new components in the new car, with almost nothing carried over from its Silver Spur predecessor. Unveiled in March 1998, the Silver Seraph replaced the Silver Spur. All Seraphs were handbuilt at the Rolls-Royce factory in Crewe, England, which stopped making Rolls-Royce models in 2002 but continued with Bentley. The car had a base price of £155,175 in the UK and was powered by a 5.4 litre, aluminium alloy, BMW V12 engine making it the first twelve-cylinder Rolls-Royce since the 1939 Phantom III. Standard electronics included digital engine management, adaptive ride control and anti-lock brakes and, aside from the radiator grille, badges and wheels, the Rolls-Royce was externally identical to the contemporary Bentley Arnage sharing both its platform and bodyshell. Inside, the Silver Seraph and the Bentley Arnage were similar but quite distinct from one another..

1999 Mercedes Benz S500L. Brilliant Silver metallic with black leather upholstery. The Mercedes-Benz S-Class is amongst the world’s most revered luxury cars and it’s only really Rolls-Royce, Bentley and possibly Mercedes' own Maybach that could truly claim to trump it for reputation, but with those all being more than twice as expensive, that’s hardly surprising. You could argue that what makes the S-Class special is its history but, in reality, it’s the fact that Mercedes uses the S-Class as a showcase for its latest technology that makes it stand out. With this incarnation of the S500, Mercedes paid obsessive attention to tranquillity whilst driving, giving a driving experience like no other. Never has a driver felt so remote from the outside world, and yet remained connected to the car to such a degree.
