DESCRIPTION

1967 Wolseley Hornet MK III 998cc. Maroon Body with Toga White roof and Dove Grey leather upholstery. This stunning Wolseley has had just 4 owners in total during its 55 year lifetime and has covered just an amazingly low 35,000 miles from new. Supplied new by Joseph Cockshoot (Wilmslow) Ltd to Dr. Geoffrey Feldman of Wilmslow on 23rd November 1967. Mr Feldman kept the car until 1999, some 32 years when it was sold to Mr Nicholas Munsch of Cheshire on 10th January, at this time the car had covered just 26,000 miles from new. Mr Munsch only kept the car a short while and it was then sold to Mr Philip Bateson of Stockport on 31st August 2000 at 27,000 miles. Mr Bateson then started work on a full restoration of the Hornet transforming the car into the stunning vehicle that you see today. No expense was spared and the history file contains copies of the bills and invoices for parts and services during the rebuild. The car was finally ready for the road again in 2005 and used sparingly until August 2013 when it was sold to its most recent keeper Mr Cannon, at this time the car had covered just 31,000 miles. Mr Cannon has enjoyed the car for the last 9 years and it has now covered just 35,000 miles from new. A fantastic history file accompanies the car with the original dealer book pack containing handbook and the very special original Passport to Service with several stamps, a large amount of old mot certificates dating back to 1972 and copies of every log book issued showing details of all 4 owners. All of this paperwork confirms the extremely low mileage as correct and that is a matching numbers car. The overall condition speaks for itself and the car is beautifully presented and a real credit to its last owner who has lovingly cherished it. The car starts on the button and drives just as you would expect, the 998cc engine pulling well and the manual gearbox smooth with no untoward noises or whines. This is a special car that will fit into any collection, the iconic Wolseley name and the condition mean that it will grace any showground all classic car event. The chassis is solid and very strong, the underside body coloured and looking as good as the bodywork. The paintwork displaying a lustrous shine and the leather upholstery showing minimal wear. The chrome all shining beautifully and the carpets, door cards and headlining in great order. Although now tax and mot exempt a fresh mot will be applied upon sale for your own peace of mind. Absolutely any inspection welcome. All major debit and credit cards accepted. Part exchange considered. Finance arranged. Free U.K mainland delivery. Please contact us for any further information.
