1967 Triumph TR4A IRS. Black with black upholstery and a black hood. A genuine right hand drive home market produced car. A very late TR4 model and as stated in a letter from Club Triumph this TR was one of the last 180 TR4's built from a production run of over 28,000. A full bare shell restoration carried out by Silk Motors of Stratford upon Avon with a photographic documentation of all work carried out, also on file are copies of the invoices which add up to over £25000. This work was carried out between 2012 and 2014 and the car is still in outstanding condition today. Some other work that was undertaken includes engine out, new camshaft, followers and ancilliaries, skimmed cylinder head, reground valves, new water pump and new clutch plate. The steering rack was replaced, new front calipers, discs and pads were fitted. The rear suspension was updated to telescopic shock absorbers. The wire wheels were shot blasted and powder coated, 5 new tyres were fitted, the battery replaced and a new hood installed. The history file is huge and contains many photographs, bills and invoices and lots of old mot certificates dating back to the 70's. On test drive the car performed without fault and was a pleasure to drive with a strong responsive engine and a smooth gearbox with overdrive in 2nd, 3rd and fourth gears.
