DESCRIPTION

1976 Triumph Stag MK II. 3.0 V8 Automatic. Russet brown with tan Ambla upholstery with black mohair hood and a factory hard top. This stunning Stag is exceptional throughout. It is not a car that has been dismantled and restored, just a car that has been religiously maintained by the previous owner of 24 years, with only 2 keepers before him. The car has a great history file containing service and repair invoices of approximately £11,000, the original Passport to Service, and a huge amount of old mot certificates dating back to 1979, the very first one to confirm the low mileage of just 96,000. It has been fitted with the highly desirable Tate & Lewis four speed automatic gearbox conversion fitted by Clive Tate in 2016 at a cost of £3000 with the invoice on file. Compared to the standard three speed gearbox this upgrade transforms the car giving a much higher gearing, smoother change and lower revs at cruising speed. This Triumph is in remarkable original condition with lovely bodywork, including outstanding wheel arches, doors, boot lid and bonnet. The paintwork is virtually unmarked a displays a great lustre. The underside is amazing and detailed with no sign of repairs, with good floors and outriggers. The rear suspension has been fully overhauled with polished trailing arms and components. The chrome is unmarked and like new. It has also been poly bushed throughout. It has been fitted with a stainless steel exhaust and has had a recent brake overhaul with new callipers. The car has original Stag alloys and nearly new tyres. The interior is still in great order with excellent seats, door cards, dashboard veneer and carpets. The hood and frame are perfect and operating correctly. The car drives fantastically well and everything works as it should right down to the door puddle lamps. The factory hard top is still with the car and is in good condition. Although now tax and mot exempt a fresh mot has just been applied for your own peace of mind. Absolutely any questions answered. All major debit and credit cards accepted. Part exchange considered. Finance arranged. Free U.K mainland delivery. Please contact us for any further information. Walk around video available upon request. Lots more pictures on our website. www.turntwoclassics.co.uk
