DESCRIPTION

1937 Rover 12 P2 Saloon. This outstanding Rover is in the only colour combination available by Rover motor company in 1937 of black with brown leather interior. It had only one owner from 1942 to 1969 followed by the second right through to 2017. There is a huge extensive documented history file including the original buff log book, schedule of first free service, reams of service & repair invoices and photographs of the full restoration undertaken in 1990 to include engine overhaul with unleaded head, new wings, running boards, floor boards, carpets, sunroof and headlining. The car had a full repaint and was also re-wired and re-chromed, the radiator was re-cored & new period Waymaster tyres fitted. The car is still exceptional today with a gorgeous deep lustre to the coachwork, inside the leather upholstery, door cards, carpets & headlining are all in fantastic order. The panel fit, door shuts and gaps are just as they should be. The car has travelled less than 9000 miles in the last 29 years and importantly still retains many interesting period features including the 'Luvax- Bijou' chassis lubrication system, rear window blind, opening windscreen, wire wheels, semaphore trafficators, free wheel, & complete under dash tool tray. A beautiful car in every respect. On the road the Rover is a joy to drive for an 83 year old car with a strong engine and quiet gearbox and still turns heads wherever it goes. Now just waiting to be enjoyed in new hands this car would be the perfect companion to any collectors stable and adorn any classic car show. Absolutely any inspection is welcome. Part exchange possible. Free U.K mainland delivery.
