Full-width dashboard replaces the original shelf, internal bonnet release. Introduction of airbag on driver's side. The end of production in October 2000 not only signalled the end of original Mini production after 41 years, but also brought about the demise of the 1275-cc engine which had powered the Mini and numerous other BL/BMC/ARG cars for more than 35 years. The Metro had ceased production two and a half years earlier, ironically meaning the Mini outlived the car that was supposed to replace it. This Mini was dispatched from the factory in the rare colour of Anthracite metallic with the optional Sport Pack, this meant the addition of additional gauges in fascia. 13" x 6" Sports Style alloy wheels. 175/50 R13 radial ply tyres. Large body colour extended wheel arches. 2 driving lamps (standard fit on Mini Cooper). 2 fog lamps. Sports accelerator pedal and large bore chrome tailpipe finisher. Accompanied by a large history folder containing the original service book, lots of bills and invoices dating back to when the car was new as well as old mot certificates confirming the low mileage of 75,000 as correct. With a current mot through to November 2022 with no advisories, serviced less than 200 miles ago and four new tyres fitted the car is ready for some new adventures.
