DESCRIPTION

1967 Morris Mini MK I Evocation. Clipper Blue with Powder Blue and Silver Brocade upholstery. This stunning Mini really does give you the best of both worlds. A period looking Mini MK I with all the refinements of a modern car. The brief was simple, build a car that looked period but was easy to drive. A new MK IV bodyshell was sourced and converted to accept all of the MK I parts such as rear light clusters, boot lid, centre speedometer and instruments etc. This was to keep the look of a MK I and to finish off was painted and trimmed in period. The running gear was up rated from old drum brakes to new Cooper S 7.5" discs and 10" reverse rims, and a brake servo was also fitted for good measure. The engine was replaced with a 998cc A+ and all of the interior was renewed with upgraded front seats with the safer anti tilt catches. Newton Commercial produced all of the seat covers in blue and silver brocade and a crinkle finish headlining also made to match the MK I sun visors. Once finished the car was featured in Mini World magazine with a four page story which is still present in the file today. Also in the history file are photographs of the restoration process as well as bills, invoices and old mot certificates. On road test the car performed without fault and was a real head turner. In stunning condition the car has only covered 4,000 miles since restoration and is ready to grace and classic car show. Just waiting to be enjoyed in new hands this is a car that we are very proud to own and is a real credit to its former keeper who has kept it in such amazing condition. Although now tax and mot exempt a fresh mot will be applied upon sale for your own peace of mind. Absolutely any inspection is welcome. Part exchange possible. Finance arranged. Free U.K mainland delivery. Please call for any further details.
