1968 MGC Roadster Manual / Overdrive. Mineral Blue with Black Leather upholstery with blue piping and a black mohair hood. Built in February 1968 this original U.K right hand drive MG was dispatched to Wellsteeds County Garage Limited of Monmouth on 19th March. The accompanying Heritage Certificate shows the car had the factory options of overdrive, wire wheels, heater, foldaway hood and tonneau cover and is still in its original colour and spec. It has had just 3 previous owner from new and has more recently had thousands of pounds lavished upon it to bring it to the condition you see today. Over the past 12 months lots of new parts have been fitted to include: Twin electric cooling fans. Electronic distributor. Adjustable Spax shock absorbers. Servo assisted brakes with new callipers and pads. Mohair hood and frame. Seat covers. Door cards and carpets. In February the engine was completely rebuilt to which consisted of: New pistons. Cam followers. Valve springs. Timing chain. Clutch. Crankshaft oil seals. Crankshaft big end and main bearings. Full new oils and an unleaded conversion with all invoices on file. It has covered just 200 miles since the work was carried out. The engine bay has been detailed, the wire wheels blasted and powder coated and new Dunlop tyres fitted. The chrome is also in excellent condition without pitting or marks. The underside of the car is equally as good as it is above and is painted in body colour with a clear waxoyl protection and a very solid chassis. The history file contains some bills, invoices and old mot certificates as well as some old V5’s back to the first owner. Driving just as you would expect it to it has the correct oil pressure and a fully working overdrive gearbox and is very content in modern traffic. Although now tax and mot exempt a fresh mot will be applied upon sale for your own peace of mind. Absolutely any inspection welcome. All major debit and credit cards accepted.
