1972 MGB Roadster 3500 V8 5 Speed. White with black leather upholstery and a black mohair hood. This MGB was converted from a GT when the shell required some tidying, a U.S shell was sourced from California to ensure it was rust free and from a dry climate. The car was rebuilt into a V8 by an engineer from Doncaster. The engine and five speed gearbox were from a Rover SD1. It is estimated that the MGB develops somewhere between170-180 BHP which is more powerful than the standard V8 engine which went into the factory GT’s. The rear axle and differential are MGB V8 and when cruising in fifth gear the speed and performance are very impressive. The brakes have been upgraded to V8 spec with EBC pads. The rev counter has been adapted to the V8 engine and gives an accurate reading. Over the years the car has been improved and now has Minilite style wheels, mohair hood and a Moto Lita steering wheel. It also comes with a half tonneau cover and a MG Accessories wind deflector. A walnut style dashboard and CD player complete the look of this smart MG. The car has a full length stainless sports exhaust system and the soundtrack from the V8 definitely puts a smile on your face.
