1977 MGB Roadster – Manual with Overdrive. Tahiti Blue with Black Cloth Upholstery and Black Hood
Presented in the ever-elegant Tahiti Blue, this 1977 MGB Roadster is a wonderfully honest and unspoilt example of one of Britain’s most beloved open sports cars. With manual transmission and overdrive operating in third and fourth gears, it delivers exactly the sort of engaging, relaxed driving experience that has made the MGB a classic for generations.
This car has been with its last owner for seven years and has been used sparingly during that time, covering just over 1,000 miles and driven only on bright, sunny days. As a result, it presents very well and retains the character and charm that enthusiasts value so highly. Notably, it remains entirely standard, still to the same specification as when it left the factory some 48 years ago.
Mechanically, it is in fine order. A recent service has included an oil and filter change, new spark plugs, new HT leads, new front brake calipers and four brand new tyres. On the road, the engine is strong with good oil pressure, the gearbox is smooth, and the overdrive engages exactly as it should, making this a pleasure both around town and on longer runs. Underneath, the car is very solid and has been wax-oiled from new, which is increasingly rare to find.
Although now both tax and MOT exempt, a fresh MOT will be applied upon sale for the new owner’s peace of mind. Absolutely any inspection is welcome.
The MGB makes an ideal starter classic, supported by one of the largest and friendliest owners’ communities in the classic car world. From technical advice and parts suppliers to club events, driving days, and regional gatherings, ownership is as social and rewarding as it is enjoyable.
All major debit and credit cards are accepted. Part exchange is considered, and free UK mainland delivery is included. Further photographs and a walk-around video are available on our website and Facebook page.
