DESCRIPTION

1968 Ford Cortina 1600 GT MK II. White with tan upholstery. Supplied new by Pat Keeble's Motors (Leiston) Ltd of Suffolk to Mr G. Stibling on 1st December 1968. The original sales invoice is still in the history file which shows the basic price of £964 with options of seat belts £8, Metallic Paint £6, Road fund licence £25, Reflective number plates £3, Underseal £10, Reversing lamp £3 and Bonnet catch £1. Also still present in the file are the original handbook and service book which is stamped by the supplying dealer. The MkII GT is now a rare car with very few remaining on UK roads and with classic Fords now having a huge following this will make a nice addition to any collection. Lots of work has recently been carried out to include: Bare metal restoration and now in exceptional condition. Detailed engine bay. Great interior with new carpets, headlining, window rubbers and mouldings. Engine rebuild including new clutch. New battery and ignition coil. New fuel pump and lines. New Lotus steel wheels and Firestone tyres. New brake linings, wheels cylinders and brake pipes. The Cortina also comes with a large history file including bills, invoices, old mot's and some old V5's. Also two hand written service records recording all work carried out from January 1969 up to February 2000. On test drive the car performed very well, easily keeping up with modern traffic and turning heads and raising smiles. This car is just waiting to be enjoyed and would grace any car show or classic car rally. Absolutely any inspection is welcome. All major debit cards accepted. Part exchange welcome. Please call for further information. Free U.K mainland delivery. Find us on Facebook, Instagram or visit www.morseclassics.co.uk.
