2006 BMW R 1200 S. Midnight Black. This stunning motorcycle has been with its last owner from 2 months old and has covered just 6,000 miles from new. It has been cherished and loved and still presents as it did when new some 18 years ago. Supplied new by BMW on 12th May 2006 to Mr Seward who only kept the bike for 2 months before a change in circumstances when SPC BMW called the current owner who was looking for this exact bike, he purchased it immediately and has owned it ever since. He used the bike sparingly and more recently the bike has covered minimal mileage. Compared to the BMW R1100S which it succeeded, the R1200S was 13 kg lighter, and (with a compression ratio raised from it was 25% more powerful with a "hexhead" motor rated at 122 horsepower. Much of the weight saving was down to a new trellis-type frame which replaced the massive alloy frame of the R1100S. The R1200S thus had superior handling, improved braking, higher power output, greater ground clearance, and sport ergonomics. Although the instrumentation was updated, the bike retained the unconventional BMW-system indicator switches. Now available and looking for a new adventure.
