1965 Austin Mini Cooper MK I 970 S. Tartan Red with black roof and Tartan Red / Gold Brocade Grey upholstery. The 970cc MK1 Cooper S was a special homologation version of the Cooper S produced by BMC under both the Austin and Morris badges, allowing the Cooper S to compete in the <1000cc racing class. The 970 is a desirable version of the MK1 Cooper S, particularly considering its low production numbers. This very rare matching numbers 970 Cooper S has come to us direct from a private collection and has covered just 32,000 miles. The car has been in a collection since 2003 and has had very little use since. When the car was purchased in 2003 it came from a lady who had owned the car since 1971, some 32 years with a letter on file from her stating this. We have a large amount of mot’s in the history folder back to 1976 also confirming the low mileage. The car has been subject to an older bare shell restoration and we have photographs documenting the work carried out. All panel work was undertaken and a brand new interior fitted. The engine was also rebuilt at this time and has covered less than 500 miles since. The car still presents very well today and upon sale will include a fresh mot. The car is very original and correct although it has had Rose Petal wheels fitted and a pop up sunroof but this can be rectified should you wish. Absolutely any inspection is welcome. All major debit and credit cards accepted. Part exchange considered. Finance arranged. Free U.K mainland delivery. Please contact us for any further information.
