1981 Triumph Spitfire 1500 Manual / Overdrive. Pageant Blue with Hounds Tooth cloth upholstery and a black hood. One of the last cars to be produced and very rare on an X registration. A stunning car that has been previously restored by D.G Services in 2012. Since the restoration the car has covered less than 1000 miles and still looks beautiful today. The underside has been totally rust proofed and no signs of any welding repairs. Under the carpets the floors all original and still body coloured. The paintwork still bright and very fresh, the hood showing no signs of wear and a clear rear window, the original upholstery still in very great condition, just slightly squashed foam on the bolsters. The engine was rebuilt during the restoration and as previously mentioned has covered very little mileage. Most recently the Spitfire has had 4 new tyres and a new exhaust fitted and we have just had an engine service to include oil & filter, new plugs, leads, & coil etcWe have a very large history file with the car containing bills, invoices and old mot certificates as well as a very detailed report of the cars restoration. The car drives just as it should the engine pulling well and overdrive working on third and forth gears. A fresh mot will be applied upon sale. This Triumph has seen very little use over the years and that is why it is still in great order today, and very rare to find a 39 year old car with just 62,000 miles.
