DESCRIPTION

1968 MG MGC Roadster Automatic. British racing Green with black leather upholstery and a black hood. This beautiful and incredibly rare MGC Roadster automatic is one of only twenty estimated examples remaining of the ninety- two MGCs produced for the UK home market specified with the 'Borg Warner' automatic gearbox. Manufactured in 1968 it is an original 'Matching numbers' car retaining its original engine from new along with its original registration number. Combined with ledgendary 'BMC' silky smooth 2912cc straight six cylinder engine it provides an effortless touring car drive with sports car performance and handling. This stunning roadster was subject to total restoration some years ago and is still in beautiful condition today. The previous titled keeper purchased the car in 2017 from a well known MG specialist. The paintwork displays a fantastic lustre and the leather upholstery showing minimal wear. A Mota-Lita leather rimmed steering wheel, the correct 15” chrome wire wheels and the original aluminium bonnet complete the classic look of this six cylinder tourer. It has clearly been treasured and well cared for, remaining in outstanding, near show condition and covered less than fifteen hundred miles in the last seven years. The underside was 'Waxoyle' protected as a final stage of the restoration which has clearly worked in preserving a near perfect underside including sills, floor pans and chassis etc. It has recently been serviced and although tax and Mot exempt, it has a full 12 months Mot with no advisories for your own peace of mind. The mileage displayed is 37000 miles however due to the age of the car cannot be guaranteed. This is a car that would grace any showground and its rarity makes it ideal for any classic collector. Absolutely any inspection welcome. All major debit and credit cards accepted. Part exchange considered. Finance arranged. Free U.K mainland delivery. Please contact us for any further information.
