1972 MGB Roadster MK III Manual / Overdrive. Tartan red with black upholstery and a black mohair hood. Supplied new to Mr Herridge of Southampton in May 1972 who kept the car until 2000, some 28 years. The car then resided in Croydon with Mr Baxter until 2005 before heading to Woking to Mr Haydon. It had its final change of owner in 2013 and has been with that lady until now. So in total only 4 owners in total from new and just 48,000 miles recorded. An older restoration that still presents very well with lots of upgrades and accessories fitted and a history folder containing lots of bills, invoices and old mot certificates. The most recent invoice from St Ives Engine Services in 2019 when the car had a complete engine recondition and a unleaded head conversion and the car has covered less than 1,000 miles since this work was carried out. The car also has lovely chrome wire wheels fitted supplied by MWS with the quality certificates on file. The black mohair hood is in excellent condition and the exterior look is completed with a chrome luggage rack. A very solid chassis with no sign of corrosion. The interior is very good with freshly upholstered seats, good carpets and a wooden dashboard and Moto Lita steering wheel. The paintwork is very bright and still presents well very with just a couple of surface blemishes if you look very closely. The car starts on the button and runs very well with good oil pressure and a strong gearbox with working overdrive. Low owner and mileage MG’s are rare to find so we are delighted to offer this car.
