1972 Mercedes Benz 350 SL R107 Automatic. Schwartz black with black leather upholstery, black soft top and original factory hard top. The 350 SL was first released by Mercedes Benz in 1971 and continued in production for 19 years up until 1989. As an open topped 2-seater, it was a bit of a mould breaker for Mercedes and the luxury sports car market generally. Featuring a powerful engine up front but combined with sumptuous interior turned this 2-seater into more of an open topped grand tourer which opened up a whole new market for Mercedes and others who followed in their footsteps. This car was treated to a body restoration during 2015 just before the last owner purchased the car. The paintwork is a real credit to the body shop that carried out the work as the quality is still outstanding today. The seats were reupholstered and a new hood fitted at the same time. The mileage displayed is 91,000 which we believe to be correct with old mots and invoices in the history file although due to the age of the Mercedes we cannot guarantee this.
