1989 Austin Mini 1275. Pearl Grey metallic with black upholstery. This amazing Mini was fully rebuilt in 2018 by an ex Rover professional panel beater and what a fabulous job he did, the finish is one of the best we’ve seen. The car was stripped to bare metal using all original panels, doors, wings, A panels etc. Only the bonnet being replaced. It was then converted to have a MK I front and rear. The body was Epoxy primed, double high build primed and then painted in 2K Lamborghini Pearl Grey metallic with Black Pearl roof and wheel arches and then a Crystal clear coat all over. It also has a 1275 engine and gearbox conversion that was stripped, painted and fully detailed. Lots of parts were replaced with new during all of the work carried out to include interior fittings such as new front bucket seats and rear seats, new door cards, new carpets, full black roof lining, custom alloy dashboard, alloy rear shelf, half roll cage. The exterior wasn’t left out either, again with a large amount of new parts fitted which include new modified and painted Group 5 arches, sunken front number plate, bumpers de-seamed, smooth boot and hinges. New door handles and locks, new, MK I Cooper S grille, MK I moustache, LED flat glass indicators, Crosshair headlights, rings and bowls. Bonnet belts, gutter and sill trims, full set of rubbers, screen and chrome trims, doors and window channels. MK I back lights fitted. The engine is a very lively and enjoyable 1275 with a Stage 1 kit, a full RC40 exhaust system including manifold and stainless steel back box. Electronic ignition, aluminium rocker cover, aluminium radiator, silicone hoses, painted fan and cowls and polished and lacquered alternator. New Cooper S brake discs and calipers with the rest of the braking system overhauled. New top and bottom ball joints. A brand new set of 10 x 7 JBW Alloy wheels and Falken tyres completed the look of this very special Mini. Since the work was completed in 2018 the car has done less than 1000 miles and is in beautiful condition as you can see from the photographs today. The car sounds fantastic and is great fun to drive with lots of power and great handling. The cost to build this car today would far exceed the asking price.
