DESCRIPTION

1985 Mercedes Benz 500 SL R 107 Automatic. Arctic White with Blue Sports Check, Dark Blue Fabric Soft Top and Factory Hard Top. When the Mercedes-Benz R107 SL was launched in 1971, the first shade of White that buyers could choose was ‘White 050’. This was replaced in 1975 by ‘Classic White 737’, which enjoyed a decade as an available option before being updated in 1985 by ‘Arctic White 147’. This new shade would stay with the SL until production ended in 1989, a fresher, sharper, brighter shade of white for the final few years of production. This is a rare colour to find on an R107 SL, complimented best by a blue interior combined with a blue roof – illustrated by the car shown here. This 500 SL is a refined classic cruiser, with elegant bodywork and a smart interior, and which has been kept in good mechanical condition over the years. Under the bonnet sits the 5.0-litre V8 engine, coupled with a smooth automatic transmission. The car has covered just 90,392 miles from new and is accompanied by a comprehensive history folder detailing service work and repairs dating back many years, as well as old mot certificates authenticating the low mileage. The car still retains it original factory hard top which is a nice addition as well as its 14-inch ‘Baroque’ alloy wheels. Running and driving just as it should and recently having much expenditure this Mercedes is ready to be enjoyed in new hands. A fresh mot has just been applied with no advisories for your peace of mind. Absolutely any inspection is welcome. All major debit and credit cards accepted. Part exchange considered. Finance arranged. Free U.K mainland delivery. Please contact us for any further information.
